Summary: The Senior Trade Marketing Manager, Americas, will be responsible for leading and coordinating all trade marketing efforts with our sales teams and retailers, supporting the achievement of strategic objectives by providing comprehensive action plans and partnering on execution with our regional teams and retailers. The individual will be responsible for delivering best in class strategies and marketplace approaches to maximize business results while increasing market share and growth within the region. The Senior Trade Marketing Manager, Americas is accountable for overseeing the development of strategic trade plans aligned with brand objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Marketing Planning & Coordination
- Develop seasonal and long-term retailer-specific strategies, plan and execute successful product launches & exclusive programs.
- Develop and disseminate campaign toolkits with timelines for all key launches.
- Coordinate with Global Marketing on the development and timing of all brand marketing campaigns, ensuring all retailer asset, content, and copy needs and due dates are met.
- Manage retailer creative needs including retailer dotcom, social and collateral from brief to final delivery. Upload and deliver all Retailer assets on-time and on-specification.
- Work closely with PR/Social team to develop plans to provide digital support to retail partners.
- Partner with Global Marketing to develop all PDP page content and assets. Provide feedback and make copy/creative recommendations to maximize sales conversion.
- Responsible for managing the retailer product setup forms and submitting all documents, forms, content and assets by retailer deadlines.
- Help maintain retailer marketing calendars and internal trackers with promotional activities and marketing activations to share with broader organization
- Perform post-launch analysis of retailer programs. Analyze and report program results and learnings for future program optimization.
- Lead ratings and review seeding program to support Retailer dotcoms. Monitor/track campaign results and optimize future programs for success.
Retailer Meetings, Retailer Calendar, Retailer Relationships
- Partner with Retail Accounts on retailer market week meetings and ongoing updates. Lead preparation of all decks/presentations for sales and retailer meetings, as well as regional and strategy meetings on an as-needed basis, with adequate advanced timing, ensuring that all stakeholder input is incorporated.
- Work with internal team on meeting agenda topics. Issue detailed and timely meeting recaps and manage follow-ups.
- Track Retailer launch readiness, dates and programs.
- Field ad hoc retailer requests, and provide program updates.
Sampling & Budget
- Own retailer sampling programs, including forecasting, budgeting, order placement/tracking, retailer upload, PO placement and shipping. Track and report sampling ROI post activation.
- Partner with the Product Development team to develop new, innovative sampling formats to encourage consumer trial.
- Track and evaluate trade spending utilization and effectiveness.
Industry Knowledge & Reporting
- Track and report competitive initiatives in field (events, brand activations, PDP assets, merchandising)
- Leverage market insights to maximize marketing effectiveness.
Requirements
Requirements:
- 7+ years of related Trade/Retail marketing experience in makeup /beauty. Experience desired:
- o End-to-end beauty product launches
- o Innovation ideation and retail strategy
- o Partnering with global teams to develop regional strategy
- o Significant working experience with Sephora
- Financial business acumen is a critical requirement. Understanding ROI, financial levers, and the financial impact of decisions and resources on operational activities
- Self-starter, solution-minded, highly organized, detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and follow-up skills
- Ability to efficiently manage and prioritize multiple projects with tight deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through is a must
- Must have ability to think strategically, conceptualize new ideas, initiate change and react to fast-paced environment
- Requires strong oral and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal capabilities with external partners and internal functional groups
- Leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop teams
