Position Summary: Foundry Quality Reliability (FQR) is looking for an Administration Technician to join the Oregon Calibration Labs team. This role is critical in ensuring the accurate tracking and calibration of equipment used in various technical operations. The successful candidate will manage calibration records, communicate with subcontractors and customers, and maintain ISO compliance in all aspects of the calibration process. Key Responsibilities: Database Management: Add equipment to the calibration lab database, ensuring all details such as equipment type, service performed, and repair notes are recorded. Outsourcing and Communication: Outsource calibrations to subcontractors, maintain communication with subcontractors regarding scheduling, and relay information to customers regarding equipment status and delays. Purchase Orders and Payments: Create and manage purchase orders (POs) for calibration services, and secure payments for completed calibrations. ISO Compliance: Maintain ISO standards by ensuring calibration certificates are added to the database and calibration stickers are used appropriately. Technical Support: Use judgment to resolve non-standard problems and assist in maintaining equipment and calibration standards. Reporting: Communicate findings, both written and verbal, to engineers, supervisors, and customers. General Administrative Duties: Perform additional administrative tasks and other duties as needed to support the department and business operations. Behavioral Traits: Strong team player with excellent communication skills, able to work collaboratively with peers, supervisors, and customers. Ability to communicate effectively with customers when issues such as equipment delays arise. Attention to detail and ability to navigate a database effectively. Minimum Qualifications: An Associate's Degree in Business, Electrical Engineering, Metrology, or a related field, or previous military experience. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Metrology: Familiarity with calibration and metrology equipment is preferred. Client Experience: Previous experience working at Client or similar organizations is a strong preference. Lab Environment Experience: Experience working in a lab for measurement and test equipment. Technical Communication: Ability to produce written and verbal reports communicating technical findings to engineers and other stakeholders. Proficient in Software: Strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Technical Equipment Knowledge: Ability to work with various equipment such as oscilloscopes, meters, torque, micrometers, and gauges, as well as other lab instruments like pressure/vacuum devices, RF power sensors, and wind tunnel/air flow equipment.
