We embarked on transforming and building a world-class Marketing DS Org recently. Our team helps to power PayPal’s high-growth Marketing organization by delivering actionable insights and business intelligence for our 200+ million customers. Job Description: The Team Our Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM) team sits within the broader Global Marketing Analytics Team. By leveraging the state-of-the-art models, we aim at building an in-house marketing effectiveness measurement and optimization solution. Job Responsibilities Develop and implement advanced statistical models and machine learning algorithms. Provide data-driven insights and optimization scenarios based on our MMM solution. Analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights. Implement marketing mix models to forecast marketing performance. Collaborate with marketing teams to translate business questions and objectives into analytical frameworks. Work with internal and external stakeholders to gather the data required for building models. Influence stakeholders to make business decisions in alignment with global measurement approaches. Interpret results from marketing mix models and translate them into actionable insights. Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for stakeholders. Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support marketing decisions. Job Requirements MS/PhD in Statistics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Engineering, Economics. 5+ years of experience in marketing performance modeling and optimization including marketing mix modeling. 5+ years of experience in data science, machine learning or advanced analytics. Advanced knowledge of statistical techniques, particularly regression analysis and time series modeling. Proficiency in programming and query languages like Python, R and SQL. Knowledge of marketing strategies and technology. Experience in leveraging marketing mix modeling to optimize marketing strategies. Understanding of marketing channels, metrics, and KPIs. Experience with cloud technology; particularly Google Cloud. Proficiency in data manipulation and preprocessing. Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to tell compelling stories with data. Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Qualifications Publications related to marketing performance modeling and optimization. Experience with attribution modeling. Experience with agile methodologies. PayPal is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Actual Compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to work location, and relevant skills and experience. The total compensation for this practice may include an annual performance bonus (or other incentive compensation, as applicable), equity, and medical, dental, vision, and other benefits. The U.S. national annual pay range for this role is $84,500 to $204,600. For the majority of employees, PayPal's balanced hybrid work model offers 3 days in the office for effective in-person collaboration and 2 days at your choice of either the PayPal office or your home workspace.
