The successful candidate will work with a team of three marketing managers, set and manage marketing plans, and ensure that the team's goals align with the long-term strategic plan. This role involves leadership, mentorship, and performance evaluation of the sales and marketing team, and requires the ability to develop and manage budgets, analyze sales data, and forecast performance. The Director will also be responsible for maintaining relationships with outside vendors, authors, and faculty, and will play an active role in the development of publishing services and resources. Applicants for the Director of Sales & Marketing position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in sales and marketing within the publishing industry, and at least 2 years' in a supervisory role.
