The Data Owner Lead Analyst is responsible for day-to-day activities of the data strategy at the business/function level by ensuring that data is compliant with Regulations, Laws, and Citi Policies, Standards & Procedures to reduce and manage Citi’s data risk. They will assist in implementing the Data Strategy, architecture Target State, and executing the data delivery roadmap for Authoritative Data Sources. Requires in-depth understanding of data and reporting. Requires sound analytical skills to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex data delivery from various sources. They are responsible for promoting data as an asset and influencing culture change to make the organization increasingly more data driven. What you’ll do

Working as part of a global team to: Partner with the Fund Services Data Strategy and Funds Data leads to conduct data analysis and modelling to enable the data strategy and maintain data hygiene across the Funds business. Ensuring data is consistently defined across all in-scope applications as per the central functional hierarchy and data taxonomy (canonical data model). Partner with product, operations, technology, and other key stakeholders to support the Funds Data Lead in executing on the data strategy and development agenda to build a data driven operating model partnering with technology, office of architecture, operations and enterprise data management covering: Data governance and quality aligning with enterprise model. Data capability including industry standards impacting the funds business. Data infrastructure and data sourcing. Data channels. Data insights/visualization - work with the data collected and develop relevant, actionable insights. Support the Fund Services Data book of work. Partner with key stakeholders to drive and manage the priority of key data deliverables. Establish and maintain product roadmaps and detailed plans for Funds data related initiatives. Manage the data catalogue and hygiene controls for Funds, ensuring Funds data management metrics (KPIs/OKRs) are maintained and up to date. Partner with the central Data Governance team to ensure the upkeep of data metrics and support the overall Data Book of Work. Define data quality rules and work with Fund Services Technology and/or Data & Client Platforms to implement the monitoring of these across Product processes. Confirm detailed data lineage requirements including system to system lineage, table to table lineage and data element to data element lineage. Establish Critical Data Elements (CDEs) for all business processes. Confirm detailed requirements for the data elements/master data elements/reference data elements in scope based on agreed strategic/tactical solution in demands. Participate and support Internal and External Audit driven data tracing exercises. What we’ll need from you

Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience related to data. Proven change agent with track record of delivery in the data and financial services domains. Strong knowledge of common data standards like Swift (ISO 15022 and 20022), FIX, FpML. Good understanding of the Funds domain and capabilities to make informed decisions and data related to this subject area - critical to understand the business applications of data insights (e.g., what business questions do need to be answered) and what data elements will effectively satisfy those needs. Track record of implementing new data management capabilities, or expanding existing capabilities. Track record of working in the data space with ISO standards and development of data solutions to solve problems. Have an understanding of a variety of data management and data analysis software packages, databases and data visualization tools. Demonstrated analytical skills, problem-solving and decision-making skills. Prior experience of successfully delivering data governance change in a complex environment. Understanding of data strategy / data management principles, ideally with knowledge of one or more common Data Management methodologies and capability models (e.g. DAMA DMBOK, DCAM, CDMC). Strong stakeholder management skills, and the ability to work with colleagues across Product, Operations and Technology teams. Responsibilities

Execute critical processes of data governance policy and data strategy to manage data efficiently. Ensure deep understanding of the business’ key data, data processes, and data flows. Facilitate day-to-day activities to drive key Data Owner program/project deliverables and interdependencies to ensure execution. Partner with data consumers to agree on the scope of critical data quality challenges and ensure that the data operating model is implemented to reduce data risk. Regularly monitor and report Data Concerns, including dispositioning and monitoring fixes (Data defects, Data issues). Partner with other colleagues within business/functions and data technology teams to build the knowledge and assess the current state of the businesses’ information infrastructure. Support Data Stewards to drive end-to-end management and consistent usage to maximize the trustworthiness of business/function data. Identify data quality “hot spots” or points of exposure. Assist with the alignment of key data capabilities including metadata repositories, data dictionaries, data lineage, business process maps, and training materials with the data and system process flows. Escalate potential barriers to timely execution before they impact the delivery, communicate potential risks and plans to mitigate issues and concerns. Identify issues, challenges, and risks by factoring input from partners and diverse points of view. Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable rules, laws, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgement regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices and escalating managing and reporting control issues with transparency. Qualifications

6-10 years of experience in banking and financial services industry, information technology, and data governance. Experience with data management processes and tools and applications, including process mapping and lineage toolsets. Strong knowledge of structured/unstructured databases, data modeling, data management, rapid/iterative development methodologies, and data governance tools. Strong understanding of data governance issues, policies, regulatory requirements, and industry information affecting the business environment. Demonstrated relationship management and advisory skills with sponsors, key stakeholders, partners, and team members in both business and technology forums. Good presentation skills, business and technical writing, and verbal communication skills to support decision-making and actions. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to recognize and comprehend complex data flow and designs. Self-motivated and able to dynamically determine priorities. Actively managed various aspects of data initiatives including analysis, planning, execution, and day-to-day production management. Education
