Localization and Mapping Engineer
to join our innovative AI robotics company. In this role, you will design and implement state-of-the-art algorithms to enable precise robot localization and environmental mapping. Additionally, you will leverage your computer vision expertise to develop perception systems that enhance the robot's understanding of its environment. Your work will directly impact the performance of our robotic systems in real-world, dynamic environments. Responsibilities Design, develop, and test localization and mapping algorithms for autonomous robotic systems. Design robust, scalable, and efficient solutions for indoor and outdoor dynamic environments. Enhance localization capability by fusing information from multiple sensors. Develop and maintain high-quality, reliable software that will be deployed in real-world applications. Collaborate with hardware and AI teams to ensure robust system integration and performance. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field of SLAM and AI. Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, AI, or a related technical field with 5+ years of industry experience. Strong proficiency in classical computer vision algorithms, including feature matching, object detection, etc. Familiarity with deep learning techniques for localization and mapping. Familiarity with sensor technologies such as LiDAR, RGB-D cameras, IMU, and GNSS and their calibration procedures. Experience with linear algebra, probability, and optimization techniques as applied to robotics. Strong proficiency in C++.
