Job Title: Dental Assistant - Full-time - Schedule 8-hour shift - Monday to Friday
Location: Chevy Chase, MD
- Relocate before starting work (Required) - Work Location: In Person
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your main responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, performing dental receptionist duties, and ensuring the comfort of our patients. - Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing instruments and materials
- Take and record vital signs of patients
- Perform dental receptionist duties, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient visits
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform patient assessments, including taking medical histories and recording any allergies or pre-existing conditions
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
- 1 year dental assisting experience
- Knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology
- Familiarity with dental software
- Ability to take accurate vital signs of patients
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- At least 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant Preferred
- Training and or education as a Dental Assistant
- Experience with dental software such as Epic or Eaglesoft
- Knowledge of medical terminology
