Position Summary:
As an HR Generalist/Consultant, you would have the opportunity to manage a variety of HR functions for a group of small to mid-sized clients, while also building and strengthening those client relationships. Our consultants act as a strategic business partner, trusted advisor and tactical hands-on teammate to clients with various HR needs. We support clients with HR compliance, talent management, establishing and/or revising HR policies and procedures, HRIS management and other day-to-day HR responsibilities, such as on and off-boarding processes, benefits management and employee relations issues. Responsibilities Include:
- Provide expert advice, counsel, and implementation support on an interim, ongoing, or project basis in areas of HR that include * HR Policy & Compliance * HR Audits * Employment Processing and Onboarding * Performance Management * Compensation & Benefits * Employee Relations & Investigations * Training Development & Facilitation * Payroll & HRIS Management
- Promote HR practices and objectives that provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes quality, productivity and standards, and goal attainment
- Develops and maintains relationships with assigned clients' management team and employees
- Fundamental knowledge of payroll processing using various platforms
- Document and track all activity in CRM (Financial Cents)
- Other duties as assigned
- Bilingual in Spanish highly desirable
- A highly positive and upbeat personality
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business or related field, and/or a minimum of 5 years of HR experience as an HR Specialist/Generalist
- PHR/SPHR certification highly desirable but not required
- Solid foundation of HR knowledge - employment laws and practices - as well as a keen ability to serve as a business partner
- Proven experience in leading difficult conversations (terminations, performance improvement, salary reductions, etc.) as well as employee growth and counseling conversations
- Ability to work with a variety of personalities at all levels throughout an organization
- A sense of urgency and exceptional communication skills (oral and written)
- Excellent administrative, organizational, attention to detail, time management and follow-through skills
- Independent judgement, a high level of confidentiality, and the ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office Products; Familiarity with multiple HRIS and payroll platforms
- Ability to drive to client locations as requested and needed; Work may be at the client's site, our office or remote - travel to local clients will be required up to 50% of the time
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities while working in a fast-paced environment
