The Janitor performs routine custodial work in buildings and adjacent grounds in order to provide a clean, orderly and safe work environment in a manner that reflects the company's vision of working as "One Professional Team."

Pay rate:$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Pay rate is dependent upon education & experience.

Essential Functions:

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.
  • Sweeps and mops floors, hallways, offices, restrooms and meeting rooms
  • Vacuums carpeted floors
  • Empties and cleans trash container and transports bagged waste to outside trash receptacles
  • Strips and waxes floors and shampoos carpets on a regular maintenance schedule
  • Dusts and wipes off surfaces
  • Washes walls, windows, and surface areas as necessary
  • Cleans and sanitizes restroom areas, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, privacy dividers, walls and floor areas
  • Maintains supply levels in restrooms, including toilet paper, paper towels, and soap
  • Cleans light fixtures and replaces bulbs
  • Dusts and cleans air vents
  • Attends classes as requested to enhance personal skill levels
  • Other duties as assigned by manager
Required Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED
Physical Demands & Competencies:
  • Standing, walking, talking, sitting, use of hands & hearing
  • Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, etc.
  • Heavy work that includes lifting and/or moving objects up to 55 pounds or more
  • Data Entry, telephone, reading/writing, reasoning, organizational, communication & math skills
  • Safety & Product Knowledge
Work Environment:
  • Noise: Moderate
  • Indoors and Outdoors
  • Specific Risks: Principle duties are performed in building environment and involve the use of electrically powered cleaning equipment and cleaning substances that may involve related hazards
