All inquiries please be sent to:dkinnik@sjf71.orgGENERAL DESCRIPTIONThis position is responsible for providing secretarial and administrative support to the DRE and Saint John Fisher Parish PREP Program and related activities. Works in conjunction with the parish staff to perform common tasks and to support each in their specific tasks.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide secretarial and administrative assistance to the Director of Religious Education.
- Answer and screen telephone calls record clear and accurate messages.
- Maintain Excel and PDS files to record PREP tuition and fees
- Maintain catechist files other than Safe Environment.
- Maintain student files for faith formation and reception of Sacraments.
- Maintain Sacramental records for PREP students.
- Process program and Sacramental forms and communications.
- Making / copying and distributing documentation.
- Maintain inventory of supplies and office equipment. Order catechetical books and supplies.
- Organize and maintain storage of resources and office supplies.
- Assist with preparation for retreats, parent meetings, rehearsals and reception of Sacraments.
- Follow financial procedures established by the parish.
- Assist others as deemed appropriate.

WORKING ENVIRONMENTWork 10:00 am to 3:00 pm Monday through Thursday. Total weekly time worked will equal 20 hours. A paid one-hour lunch period between 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm. Occasional overtime may be required upon approval of the Business Manager.
POSITION REQUIREMENTSSkills, Knowledge and/or Abilities- Proficient computer skills to maintain databases, perform word processing, Excel spreadsheets, outlook functions, internet and parish data system (PDS) skills.
- Appropriate and friendly communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters.
- Demonstrates ability to organize work effectively and to set priorities.
- Functions in a manner consistent with the mission of the Catholic Church.
- Able to perform job duties with limited supervision.
- Able to dress in a business casual manner while at work.
- Must be able to navigate up and down stairs.
- Must be able to lift up to 25lbs.
