EDC Consulting LLC (EDC) is seeking candidates for a Cybersecurity Policy Administrator - AWS to support the U.S. Army. This role focuses on administering and enforcing cybersecurity policies for enterprise applications hosted in Amazon AWS. The ideal candidate will work closely with both technical and policy teams to maintain compliance with DoD regulations while supporting the secure operation of cloud-based systems. As a subject matter expert, the Cybersecurity Policy Administrator will ensure that technical security configurations, risk management practices, and accreditation processes align with DoD standards.

EDC Consulting LLC (EDC) is seeking candidates for a Cybersecurity Policy Administrator - AWS to support the U.S. Army. This role focuses on administering and enforcing cybersecurity policies for enterprise applications hosted in Amazon AWS. The ideal candidate will work closely with both technical and policy teams to maintain compliance with DoD regulations while supporting the secure operation of cloud-based systems. As a subject matter expert, the Cybersecurity Policy Administrator will ensure that technical security configurations, risk management practices, and accreditation processes align with DoD standards.
The Cybersecurity Policy Administrator - AWS will:
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) on cybersecurity policy administration and compliance for cloud environments.
- Collaborate between technical and policy teams to implement, maintain, and monitor security configuration controls, including STIGs, SRGs, and industry-standard hardening guidelines.
- Lead efforts to successfully implement and manage cloud-based Provisional Authority to Operate (P-ATO), Authorization to Operate (ATO), and security control inheritance capabilities.
- Act as the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for hosted systems, ensuring compliance with responsibilities.
- Assist customers in obtaining and maintaining certifications, such as RMF for DoD IT and other required accreditations.
- Develop and update accreditation package artifacts, including system diagrams, hardware/software/firmware inventories, interface and port listings, protocols, and service details.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to translate high-level technical objectives into actionable technical requirements.
- Support the preparation of network infrastructure specifications, incorporating necessary information security features and ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Review and evaluate system design plans, Continuity of Operation Plans (COOP), communication plans, engineering change proposals, and configuration changes for adherence to security policies and best practices.
- Regularly interact with stakeholders, including Army CSSP, C5ISR, and customer ISSMs, to address cybersecurity concerns and ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree with 10+ years of relevant experience or Bachelor's Degree with 12+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms, including the Azure Portal and AWS Management Console.
- Mid to senior-level experience in cybersecurity policy administration within a cloud environment.
- Working knowledge of DoD STIGs and IA Vulnerability Management (IAVM).
- Familiarity with network, storage, server, and application technologies.
- Experience automating administrative tasks (e.g., scripting or using tools).
- CompTIA Security+ Certified
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
