Nurse Practitioner - Pain Management

Stamford Health is seeking an energetic & compassionate nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join our well-established multidisciplinary pain management program in the Division of Pain Medicine.

Our division currently provides acute, chronic, and cancer pain management across the care continuum. Our multimodal approach includes medication optimization, interventional approaches, physical and occupational therapy and behavioral medicine. The Division of Pain Medicine is also invested in clinical research with a focus on innovative interventional approaches, remote therapeutic monitoring, and patient reported outcome measures.

In this role, our APRN or PA will collaborate with our physicians and float between our in-patient pain management consult service and our out-patient pain management center. Our APRN or PA will work closely alongside our pain management physicians to provide a broad range of clinical activities including evaluation, diagnostics, treatment, and patient education across the care continuum. In the outpatient setting, the APP would also be expected to communicate with patients directly to provide clinical guidance as needed and to assist and advise clinical staff members.

Experience in Pain Medicine at an academic institution or established pain program/practice appreciated but not a requirement.

Primary Location: Stamford Hospital Campus - One Hospital Plaza - Stamford, CT

Work Schedule: Fulltime 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday onsite; No required weekends/holidays. Rotational telephonic call required. Potential for additional weekend shifts if desired.

* For APRN candidates: Master's Degree from an accredited school of nursing required & valid license as APRN in CT prior to employment start date required * For PA candidates: Successful completion of two-year Physician Assistant training program from an accredited institution, active Connecticut PA license, & NCCPA certification prior to employment start date required * BLS/ACLS required * Minimum of 3 years' experience required; prior experience in pain management, surgery, neurosurgery, or orthopedics highly preferred
