Role Overview:

The Civil CADD Technician plays a crucial role in the planning, design, and construction of civil engineering projects. Employing advanced computer software, the technician translates engineering concepts and specifications into detailed technical drawings and models. This position requires a blend of technical proficiency, creative problem-solving skills, and an understanding of engineering principles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately and timely produces preliminary drafting of the grading, erosion control, drainage, street, sewer and water plans in accordance with the project hours, scope & parameters
  • Provides research design options consistent with project requirements
  • Produce final design documents for grading, erosion control, storm drain, street, sewer and water plans in compliance with agency and company standard procedures and policies
  • Assists in the selection of appropriate equipment for project type
  • Assists in the preparation of other documents germane to a project with enthusiasm and professionalism
  • Produces accurate and complete load calculations within project parameters
  • Actively participates in post design activities through to construction completion
  • Follows established work rules, policies and procedures
  • Actively engages with other members of the company to continuously strive to improve processes, create efficiencies and reduce costs
  • Cooperatively takes on other duties, roles or responsibilities as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 4-year degree in engineering required & credentials to take the EIT and/or PE exam(s)
  • Knowledge of engineering drafting standards
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering
  • Knowledge of AutoCad
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Revit
  • Previous experience in Land Development Design
  • Knowledge or previous experience using Civil 3D
Travel Requirements:
  • Travel is anticipated between 0-10%
