POSITION SUMMARY:
The Laboratory Test Technician will execute design verification and validation test plans, ensuring compliance with industry standards for performance and reliability. This role also involves building, and maintaining test equipment to meet both industry and company protocols.
On-site presence at our headquarters in Novi, Michigan is required five days per week.

POSITION SUMMARY:

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide product testing support and analysis for product engineers.
- Translate external and internal codes and standards into detailed executable actions that comply with ISO 17025 and Brasscraft business requirements.
- Provide technical support for root cause investigations, theorizing and proving out solutions through testing and problem-solving.
- Support design and build of new test equipment.
- Provide testing support for product innovation, cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency to meet different industry standards
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Associates Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 3+ years relevant experience.
- Experience setting up and executing performance testing using laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
- Knowledge of and ability to maintain testing equipment including pressure gages, flow meters, load cells, and pressure transducers required.
- Familiarity and understanding of ISO 17025 quality documents such as SOP's, design specs, work instructions, training guides and test methods.
- Experience with maintaining, building, and problem solve test equipment, including controls.
- Ability to read and interpret product drawings.
- Ability to use common shop equipment (i.e. lathe and mill), measurement tools, gauges, and inspection tools.
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
- Working knowledge of relevant industry standards such as CSA, ASME, ASTM and ISO would prove beneficial.
- Experience in the plumbing industry
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Ability to function at a high level of effectiveness, flexibility, independence, and initiative
- Proficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and some Access) and National Instruments Lab View
- Excellent problem solving and analysis skills.
