Summary

Our Account Manager position is based in our Des Plaines headquarters and will be the primary contact for existing customers. Account Managers work closely with Territory Sales Managers (outside sales) and Sr. Account Managers to maximize customer growth through strategic and personal customer experiences. Account Managers are the "heartbeat" of FSI handling 500 plus customer relationships and up to $2,200,000 in revenue. This position will be responsible for driving customer orders, upselling and working with the sales team to achieve revenue goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Act as the primary liaison for the mechanical contractor market, addressing their unique needs and concerns.
  • Manage will call orders daily and coordinate with warehouse operations across all four locations to ensure seamless execution.
  • Partner with customers and operations teams to coordinate onsite deliveries, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships to support business growth and retention.
  • Strategically manage and grow existing customer revenue by identifying and capitalizing on opportunities.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of purchase orders to meet client expectations.
  • Collaborate with outside sales teams in customer acquisition efforts and advancing the sales funnel.
  • Proactively follow up on quotes and maintain a high frequency of customer engagement to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and renewals, providing tailored solutions to meet client needs.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of our products and services to effectively support client objectives and promote value-added offerings.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2 or 4-year degree preferred in related field or relevant work experience
  • 1-2 Years of Customer Service and/or dispatch experience
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
  • Proficiency with common customer success and customer relationship management software, such as Salesforce or NetSuite
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Initiative, stress tolerance, and a strong will to succeed.
  • Ability to multitask, detail oriented, and excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills


Salary Description

50,000 - 60,000 + 10% Bonus
