While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position and is occasionally required to move about the kitchen, cafeteria, and school. The employee is required to operate kitchen equipment necessary to prepare, cook, and serve food, and to operate basic computer equipment. The employee must be able to position themselves to access the computer Point of Sale System and to replenish food lines. The employee will assist with reports as needed. The employee will perform cleaning tasks and other duties as assigned. The employee will communicate with others and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The employee may occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
Working Schedule:
4.25 hours/day, 40 weeks/year
4.0 hours/day, 40 weeks/year
Pay rate as listed in Collective Bargaining Agreement
New hire rate of pay $13.49/hour

Role and Responsibilities
- Shall, under immediate supervision, be able to prepare, serve and possibly cook simple hot foods, desserts, prepare sandwiches and salads.
- Shall serve and use proper portion control.
- Shall operate necessary equipment.
- Shall perform general cleaning and any other related duties assigned.
- Possibly required to cashier and deposit money.
- Shall assist in preparing monthly cafeteria reports as requested.
- Shall perform any other duties assigned by the Cafeteria Coordinator, Food Service Director, or Director of Finance.
