QualiTech is growing, and we are seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Animal nutrition Maintenance team.The Maintenance Technician will troubleshoot, install, setup, maintain , repair and upgrade production lines, which includes, assembly and disassembly of mixing, heating and extrusion equipment, building maintenance, HVAC maintenance and Inventory Management.
The Maintenance Technician will play an active and instrumental role during large-scale production & building upgrades and/or changeover projects and may partner with outside vendors, as required , to successfully perform all expectations of the role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform troubleshooting, repair and installation of:
Mechanical devices and components including Gears, bearings, drives and gearboxes
Electronic devices and components including low and high voltage AC & DC motors, sensors, PLC's, actuators, power supplies, transformers, heating and cooling controls and systems
Pneumatics systems including compressors, logic circuits, actuators, sensors
Perform preventive inspections, lubrication, periodic and incidental maintenance, and repair of production equipment & HVAC
Perform fabrication of equipment and parts through welding and some basic machining processes
Assist in the design, specification and/or procurement of new equipment
Education and Experience : High school diploma or general education degree and five or more years industrial maintenance or equivalent experience
Two-year technical training degree desired
Proficient use of hand and power tools, pipe threading, TIG welding
Electrical experience - troubleshooting with AC/DC high and low voltages
Read and comprehend schematics, blueprints, specifications, procedure manuals and instructions
Skilled operation of stand-up and sit-down forklifts
