CAD Technician/ Data Coordinator

This role will report direct to the Engineer Manger Major Responsibility Area #1: Provide CAD drafting support to Mechanical Engineering teams. Maintain robust quality review process for all drawings created, data entered in ERP, and documents support to sales and/or customer care. Maintain standard ERP bills of material and part numbering system for all site manufactured equipment, from engineering drawings for release to production and coordinate all releases with Master Scheduler. Maintain original engineering release files per JBT's document retention policy. Coordinate with Print Room Operator the release of production prints and release documentation as required. Maintain item master database for all citrus processing equipment according to JBT standard practice. Maintain the Drawing Change Request (ECR) system by making all required updates in business system to bills of material and revision levels. Major Responsibility Area #2: Provide technical documentation and data entry support to sales teams. Help prepare sales proposal documentation. Ensure quality review process is created and observed. Support aftermarket sales with research and identification of historical customer equipment parts & assemblies to support aftermarket business, engineering data research support to customer care Assist Engineering and Sales Project Manager with process improvements in order release entry, project tracking, and elimination of non value-added procedures. Major Responsibility Area #3: Ensure all labor hours are posted for month-end closing, and time sheets for Research, Engineering, and Technical Service are recorded in Liquid Planner and uploaded weekly Issue and distribute yearly work order numbers for R&D, MPI, Tech Service, and miscellaneous by December 31st for the next year's business. Major Responsibility Area #4: Safety Meet all monthly safety requirements as established by the HSE Department Attend all required site Safety Training sessions or complete and submit make-up materials to HSE. Education: Mandatory: High School Diploma or GED AA Degree in Business Administration or Computer Science, or equivalent experience. CAD Certificate Skills and Experience: Mandatory: Two or more years of experience 3D CAD modeling in Autodesk or Solid Works experience Two to five years of data entry experience and bill of material coordination in manufacturing environment. Favored: Five or more years of experience in 3D CAD modeling in Autodesk Inventor or Solid Works experience. Five to ten years of experience maintaining a bill of material and part number database in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of MRP systems. - Ability to do basic AutoCAD drafting and drawing revisions Why work at JBT ...
