Basic Function: The primary function of this position is to maintain and cause to maintain the high SES standards for customer service always thru logistics and sales support. Variances in customer service levels provided should be reported to Branch Manager, Assistant Manager, Logistics Manager or another applicable Administrative Manager.

Job Classification: Non-Exempt position

Essential Functions:

  1. Provide exceptional customer service always to our internal and external customer base to maintain the high SES standards for customer service.
  2. Maintain a clean organized showroom and warehouse consistent with company safety and appearance standards
  3. Complete training for regulatory compliance (e.g., Hazmat, forklift) as required.
  4. Maintain open communication with Branch Management and Corporate Management. Keep all parties informed of outcomes, discrepancies, safety concerns and/or potential problems.
  5. Comply with any reasonable management request.

Shipping Responsibilities:

  1. Pull orders (will call and ship outs). Mark will-call orders store in their proper place.
  2. Ensure all orders are double-checked for quality control.
  3. Efficiently package products for shipping to reduce cost and minimize damage.
  4. Entering shipping information into SES’s shipping system per established guidelines.

Receiving Responsibilities:

  1. Receive product from various carriers ensuring the correct quantity is received
  2. Inspect products for visibly damaged.
  3. Enter products in the ERP system following company guidelines.
  4. Stock product in the proper place in the warehouse and/or showroom following the product master list to ensure proper order.
  5. Rotate all products.
  6. Follow policy guidelines for non-stock items.

Stocking Responsibilities:

  1. Re-stock front showroom shelves and product displays daily, including inspecting packages for appearance and cleanliness.
  2. Front and face all products on shelves.
  3. Re-arrange products on shelves to make room for new products or additional SKU’s both in the showroom and warehouse.
  4. Ensure adequate labels for products, as well as bin boxes.
  5. Use SES provided showroom and warehouse master inventory list to ensure proper placement of merchandise.

Merchandising and General Housekeeping Responsibilities:

  1. Follow guidelines for product placement while working with Operations and Marketing to ensure consistent appearance and messaging in the physical showroom
  2. Assist in maintaining showroom appearance including emptying trash cans daily as well as ensuring no hazards exist
  3. Maintain a cleanly swept warehouse floor that is clear of debris as well as maintaining a clean and organized shipping area

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office and logistical environment. Must be proficient in the operation of forklifts (where applicable), pallet jacks, packaging material machines, etc. This role also routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopier, and standard software suite(s), such as the ERP system, an HCM system, and the Microsoft suite of products.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk or sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally list and/or move objects up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities may include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Required Education and Experience:

  1. High school diploma or Equivalent
  2. 1 year of warehouse experience preferred
  3. Knowledge of low voltage products preferred
  4. Must be committed to providing exceptional service at all times
