Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 months of warehouse experience, the ability to lift 15 lbs, and the capacity to stand, bend, and reach for 8 hours. The Warehouse Worker is responsible for performing a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of products. This includes receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, and ensuring the efficient flow of products from receipt to shipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with picking orders and loading carts with empty totes.
• Sort through totes and separate green and orange cooler packs into different crates.
• Push freezer racks into the freezer for brief periods (approximately 60 seconds).
• Dispose of any debris found in totes.
• Replace broken or leaking cooler packs by sealing them in plastic bags.
• Perform other duties within the distribution center as needed, such as sorting, unloading, and picking.

Essential Skills

• 3-6 months of warehouse experience.
• Ability to lift 15 lbs.
• Ability to stand, bend, and reach for 8 hours.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Own steel-toe boots.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience with warehouse packing, sorting, loading, unloading, picking, and using RF scanners.

Work Environment

The work environment is temperature-controlled between 68-72 degrees. The location falls under the pharmaceutical segment and is a distribution center for over-the-counter drugs and medical supplies for hospitals and doctor offices. The facility ships products to all of New York State and northern Pennsylvania. The standard work hours are Monday to Friday, from 7am to 3:30pm, with the expectation that work is completed on time. Tardiness is not acceptable.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Syracuse, New York.

The pay range for this position is $17.90 - $17.90
