Job Summary: We are currently looking for a skilled and compassionate DHH Teacher to join our team in Arlington, VA. In this itinerant position, you will work with students who have various learning needs, including those who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, providing specialized academic instruction and support.

• 37.5 hrs
• K-12
• Severity of caseload: Some students can be complex learners, require ASL or in Life Skills
• High school caseload
• potentially itinerant position

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide academic instruction to students using evidence-based techniques such as phonics, repetition, and multisensory learning.
• Regularly communicate with parents, school staff, and other stakeholders about student progress and educational strategies.
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal guidelines through accurate record-keeping.
• Administer assessments for both initial evaluations and re-evaluations, identifying learning needs and progress.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field is required.
• A valid state DHH credential is necessary.
• Prior experience in a school setting is preferred, though not required.
