Overview:Oversee the day-to-day activities of the benefits administrator and manage the comprehensive benefits programs at 42 North Dental. This includes the administration of health, wellness, and retirement plans, as well as workers' compensation, leaves of absence, and ancillary benefit programs. You will also Oversee the day-to-day activities of the benefits

Responsibilities
  • Benefits Program Administration: Oversee the implementation, administration, and day-to-day operations of the company’s full suite of benefits programs.  This includes health insurance, STD, LTD, 401K (including annual audit and NDT testing), workers compensation, unemployment insurance and managing all required filings such as the 5500.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure all benefits programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, OSHA, and others.
  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with the Chief People Officer to evaluate, measure, and benchmark benefit plans ensuring they are competitive and cost-effective. Contribute to setting the Benefits Strategy in alignment with the overall Total Rewards Strategy and Employee Value Proposition (EVP).
  • Communication Development: Assist in creating benefit communication materials, including those for open enrollment, new hires and summary plan descriptions.
  • Vendor Relations: Work closely with brokers and third-party solution providers, supplying necessary reports and analyses as required.
  • Wellness Initiatives: Partner with the business to develop and implement health and wellness initiatives that promote a culture of wellness and optimize healthcare costs.
  • Onboarding & General Support: Facilitate the employee onboarding process by providing comprehensive communication and education about benefits and enrollment.  Serve as the main contact for employees and managers with benefits-related questions & inquiries.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years in benefits administration with hands-on experience managing health and welfare plans and a thorough understanding of benefit laws and regulations including ERISA, ACA, HIPPA and COBRA.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.  Must be detail-oriented with the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, interrupt-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in HR systems and software, preferably ADP, with strong business acumen to conduct research, analyze data, and make informed recommendations.  
  • Proven ability to successfully manage vendor relationships to ensure excellent service and support.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills. 
  • Requires good leadership skills and the ability to successfully coach and lead the benefits administrator in their day-to-day activities.
