We are actively seeking a CAD Operator based in Norco, CA. This is a full time, onsite position. This position will require an active DoD Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Puyenpa team supporting our contract at a United States Navy facility in Norco, CA.. The main responsibilities of the role include:
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift and/or carry moderate weight (50lbs), sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, reach, repetitive hand motions, hear, speak, travel outside of the base. May experience prolonged and irregular work hours, and work with frequent interruptions.

- The operator prepares complete sets of complex drawings and computer models that include multiple views, detailed drawings, and assembly drawings.
- Maintains master Building and Archibus files. Creates drawings or models including complex design features that require considerable drafting skills to visualize and portray. Understands furniture, sizes and clearance throughout the assigned spaces at all three bases.
- This position reports to the Program Manager and works directly alongside our Interior Designer and government employees/customers. This position receives supervision in the form of daily assignments/work orders and tasks to be completed. This position performs the duties of the job within specific guidelines and using departmental procedures. This position requires knowledge gained through prior experience.
- The Draft/CAD Operator works from minimal sketches, computer models, and verbal information supplied by an engineer, architect, or designer to determine the most appropriate views, detail drawings, and supplementary information needed to complete assignments. Notifies supervisor of conflicting details in design.
- This operator selects required information from computer programs, and internet sites, precedents, manufacturers' catalogs, and technical guides. This operator independently resolves most of the problems encountered. Supervisor or design originator may suggest methods of approach or provide advice on unusually difficult problems. Share information and mentor with continuous improvement.
- Prepare complete sets of drawings for buildings, furniture or equipment including detailed drawings for manufacturing from layouts, models, or sketches. Several cross-sectional and subassembly drawings are required: From information supplied by the design originator and from technical handbooks and manuals, this operator includes dimensions, tolerances, fits, fabrication techniques, and standard parts to build.
- Maintain Building and Archibus master drawing files, as-built, project closeout, help develop drafting standards and best practices. Field verify existing conditions and update floorplans.
- Ad-hoc drafting tasks for proposed projects and facility changes or maps and site documentation for special projects and events.
- From electronic schematics, information as to maximum size, and manuals giving dimensions of standard parts, determines the arrangement and prepares drawing of printed circuit boards and panels.
- Prepare final drawings for construction and site improvements including floodgates, navigation locks, dams, bridges, culverts, levees, channel excavations, dikes and berms, prepares boring profiles, typical cross-sections, and land profiles; and delineates related topographical details as required.
- U.S Citizen
- A SECRET level Security Clearance or the capability to receive one is required.
- 4-year degree (preferred).
- Proficiency using AutoCAD, Archibus, REVIT, Google Earth, Sketch Up, Microsoft Suite, Adobe PRO DC, Bluebeam
- Valid Driver's License
- Must be able to read electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints
- Must be able to organize work and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all unit of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Knowledge of Windows operating systems
