Electrical CAD Technician

Selectek is looking for an Electrical CAD Technician will have an active role in developing substation design drawings in 2D and 3D formats, along with design opportunities with the support of engineers and designers Required: Prefer entry level candidates. but would consider a minimum or 5 years' experience with direct experience Focus will be on electrical design/drafting but company can assist in training Associates Degree or equal majoring in digital design (AutoCAD preferred) Strong Communication Skills Interest in Power Systems Experience with AutoDesk (Inventor) products and general computer skills is preferred Job Details: Assist design engineers with the company's standard design practices and implementation. Help develop drawing and design standards. Review and update drawing redlines. Evaluate vendor drawings and incorporate them into the company's design. Support 3D design initiatives by building libraries of standard drawings. Support 2D design initiatives by building libraries and standard drawings. Develop CAD expertise to design or support design for the company Develop and maintain a system for evaluating CAD quality control and metrics for long term management of design group (internal or external). Provide a working knowledge of standard substation design practices (preferred, not a must) Provide a working knowledge of AutoDesk products with an emphasis on learning new methods and technology. (will train on software) Pay Rate: $ 20/hour - $30/hour Pay when direct: Likely hourly Term of assignment: 6 month contract to hire Location of Job: Bremen, GA Hours & Shift: 8-5, some flex could be possible Overtime: not unless planned ahead of time Travel: None Work Remote: Ok with remote if candidate has excellent design and communication skills Work from Home: yes Work Attire: business casual Does the client require a background check or drug test?
