Senior Multimedia Tech with AVID Experience Employment Type: Full Time Date Posted: 7/24/2024 Location: Washington, DC Pay Range: $85000.00 - $91000.00 per Year Job Number: JO-2407-2460 Primary Function Provides technical expertise in the field of broadcast, multimedia and AV systems encompassing all related disciplines including operational system support, troubleshooting and performance monitoring, capacity planning support, and documentation. Specific areas of expertise include audio, broadcast production, webcasting, encoding, archiving, video and audio connectivity, and Internet Protocol (IP) TV. Salary range: $85,000 - $91,000. Duties & Responsibilities Avid (and Adobe) Media Management to include: ingest, organization, transcoding and archiving Required experience with Media Composer, Avid Nexis, Avid Interplay/Media Central|Production Management, Adobe Creative Cloud Live Event Production to include: directing/technical directing, PTZ camera operation, Audio mixing and monitoring, setup/strike, software/hardware trouble shooting Required experience with: Vmix, OBS, Teams, Ross Carbonite and XPression, Panasonic/Sony PTZ Cameras, Video Router, Audio Mixer String Out/Assembly Video Editor. Tasks Include: A-roll scripted content, Conference and long format event coverage post-production clean up, Work with graphic templates. Required experience with: Avid Media Composer, Photoshop, After Effects Operate and maintain Avid Media Composer, Avid Nexis, Avid Interplay/MediaCentral Production Management, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, MS Office Suite, and Windows desktop and server operating systems. Operate and maintain the following hardware and software: Cisco network switches, VMWare VSphere VCenter/ESXi, RTMP video encoders (Telestream Lightspeed, Wirecast, Vmix, OBS), Telestream Vantage Follows guidelines created by the Chief Systems Engineer on regular system maintenance and upkeep on both installed systems and portable gear. Tracks maintenance actions, equipment status and equipment inventory using available tracking software tools. Skills & Qualifications Command of modern digital video production, equipment and processes Must have experience and/or related certification for equipment within broadcast production, post production area Video editing Able to follow written step-by-step instructions Have a demonstrated knowledge of basic signal workflow Able to work successfully both supervised and unsupervised PC and Mac computer literacy is required Customer service orientation; Professional presence and superior client relationship skills Ability to interface effectively with a variety of people including team personnel, clients and vendors to establish productive, ongoing relationships Proficiency with audio visual and meeting/conference/event procedures Must be organized and punctual Education & Experience Bachelor’s Degree in broadcast related field preferred; or technical school training and/or related experience 4+ years of experience with the setup, operation and troubleshooting in a broadcast, technical environment To Apply Use the link at the bottom of this page to apply.
