Job Summary We are seeking a Senior CAD Designer to join its collaborative team in Orlando, FL. This individual will serve a key function in providing the assistance of planning and designing of civil engineering for both federal and private land development projects. In this role, you will have the opportunity to. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work as part of a passionate, collaborative team of civil engineers, working on exciting and meaningful projects across many different market sectors. Job Responsibilities Use reports, maps, drawings, engineering plans, tests, and aerial photographs to assess soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and topographical and geologic data to plan and design projects; Prepare the planning and designing documents of civil engineering, land development and infrastructure projects in close collaboration with Project Engineers using engineering and design software (Auto CAD, Civil 3D, etc.) and equipment; Perform zoning and other feasibility assessments for development projects; Perform field inspection services, as needed; Write and/or review draft reports, including feasibility studies, storm-water management reports, technical specifications, and utility reports; Interact in a professional manner with client and subcontractor representatives in close collaboration with supervisor; and Perform other duties as requested. Qualifications Associate degree in Engineering Sciences, enrollment in a bachelors degree program with a focus in Civil Engineering, demonstrated equivalent knowledge, OR extensive Auto CAD/Civil 3D training; 3+ years of experience in site/civil design, including site planning, grading, storm-water management, drainage, and soil erosion is desired; Familiarity with local, state, and federal land use permitting; Auto CAD and Civil 3D design skills; Occasional travel to project sites and/or client locations, as required; Written and verbal communication skills; Attention to detail with analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities; Ability to work independently and in a team environment; and Possess reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits and a valid driver's license in good standing.
