Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled CAD Drafter to join our machine shop team part time(20 hours a week) with the potential to move to full time. The CAD Drafter will be responsible for creating and updating 2D and 3D design models using AUTODESK AutoCAD. Key duties include modifying and revising drawings as needed, collaborating closely with the manufacturing operations team to ensure designs meet production requirements, and coordinating with the production team on any updates or changes. Additionally, the CAD Drafter will maintain organized records of all drawings and revisions, ensuring documentation is up to date and easily accessible. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and update 2D & 3D design models using AUTODESK AutoCAD

  • Make necessary modifications/revisions to existing drawings

  • Work directly with customers to align needs and outcomes

  • Coordinate with the production team on drawing updates and changes

  • Maintain organized records of all drawings and revisions

  • Communicate with outside vendors

  • Communicate effectively in a team-oriented environment
