Construction Superintendent

Project Superintendent Jackson Dean Construction has an immediate need for Project Superintendents. Superintendents will be responsible for overall onsite administrative and field operations to ensure each project is constructed in accordance with design, specifications, budget, and schedule from inception through project completion. Ideal candidates scope of work: Oversees all field operations for their specific projects providing direction and oversight to subcontractors, vendors and field staff. Lead (and motivate) onsite team to complete all phases of the project within the established guidelines and parameters. Implement safety rules and regulations. Develop and maintain project schedules and effectively communicate those schedules to all onsite personnel. Decipher project plans and specifications and coordinate site logistics to include developing and implementing project procedures, working documents, and control standards. Coordinate, direct and monitor all subcontractors and suppliers activities. Establish and maintain regularly scheduled daily/weekly meetings as appropriate for the project. Interface onsite with project teams to provide support, guidance and risk analysis. Review all work in progress, including subcontractors, to ensure work conforms to construction documents. Ideal candidates character traits: Strong communication skills; verbal, written and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.). Innate attention to detail, while seamlessly coordinating many onsite activities. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to be flexible and prioritize jobsite activities Applies innovative management techniques to maximize employee performance. Ideal candidate's skills and qualifications: Five + years of industry specific experience required in a management or supervisory role. Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, means and methods and their impact on project activities. Knowledge of design techniques, tools and construction principals. Must be proficient in MS Project. Working knowledge of MS Office and Outlook. Ability to learn and utilize the proprietary project management computer programs designed by Jackson Dean Construction (daily logs, timecards, projection logs, etc.)
