Location Description The Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania facility is 1,120,845 square feet and home to about 470 hard working team members who are proud to produce iconic pet food brands like Kibbles 'n Bits® and 9Lives®. This location has a cannery that produces wet dog food and there is also a Distribution Center on-site. Bloomsburg is home to Bloomsburg University, a municipal airport, a landmark Town Park with many acres of recreational activities, and has one of the largest and longest running fairs in the country. Responsibilities The department Maintenance Supervisor leads improvement and loss elimination efforts within the assigned department. The objectives of this role are to safely improve Process Reliability and eliminate stops. Furthermore, the role is to develop and improve technical mastery by working within the team’s Technical Resources and Technicians within Maintenance. $5,000 sign on bonus Active participation in developing and executing advanced mechanical training and qualification programs; participate in assessments, ensure effective training, and maintain consistent qualification standards. Lead cross functional teams to deliver cost savings initiatives and departmental projects. Assist in coordinating Commissioning, Qualification, and Verification (CQV) activities for plant start up. Provide technical expertise and guidance to our technical resources within a department, that may require support off-shift or on weekends if needed. Enhancing overall safety, quality, and productivity in the WET/DRY Operations department by providing technical expertise and guidance, implementing effective predictive and preventative PM programs, and building capability in all technicians. Safely improve process reliability and run efficiency by eliminating stops. Driving high-performance work culture by engaging with team members on the floor and coaching to problem solve, make decisions, and become self-reliant. Owning a safety and/or quality key element. Own defect management system; prioritizing items, deploying resources, tracking completion, and communicating completion. Own PM systems for department, aside from what is on the job description, clarity on PM completion and tracking. Liaison with Plant Technical Manager to coordinate resources and support. Facilitate Breakdown Analysis for department and tracking and monitoring of action items. Own development of planned downtime plan and execution analysis. Location: On-Site | 12 hour shifts (2,2,3 schedule). This role will be based out of the Bloomsburg, PA facility. Qualifications Education A Bachelor's degree is preferred, or equivalent experience. Experience At least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience maintenance in a manufacturing environment is required Mechanical and electrical experience in food manufacturing is preferred Other Required Skills: Must possess the willingness and ability to work additional hours, weekends and time periods, as required, to respond to work requirements, meetings, deadlines and demands.
