Appearance:

How we look & appear to each guest provides an important impression of our Company. Non-permitted guidelines include unnatural hair color, visibly explicit or offensive tattoos, facial tattoos, ear piercings that alter the shape and/or size of the ear, any visible body or facial piercings other than two (2) piercings per ear, facial hair longer than ½ inch in length or mustaches that extend past ¼ inch below the upper lip. Responsibilities

This position is responsible for scheduling, planning, timing and supervision of all details in cleaning for the stewarding department.

Essential duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Assists the Assistant Executive Steward in preparation of weekly schedule.
  • Responsible for cleanliness of the entire F & B back of the house.
  • Assists with special schedules for outstanding duties such as hallways, all kitchen equipment, receiving area, cleanliness of garbage pick-up area, pest control, etc.
  • Completes chemical requisitions on a weekly basis up to par.
  • Makes recommendations for disciplinary/correction actions.
  • Training of all employees.
  • Assists and follows-up on Safety Training.
  • Assists with banquet functions and set-ups
  • Assists on Performance Evaluations.
  • Notifies immediate supervisors promptly and fully of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
  • Is polite, friendly, and helpful to the guests, management, and fellow employees.
  • Attends all appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions.
  • Maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment, and work area.
  • Completes any other duties as assigned.
  • Executes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards.
  • Complies with safety regulations and procedures. Complies with property policies and rules.
  • Recycles whenever possible.
  • Remains current with company information and changes.
  • Complies with the F&B uniform and grooming standards.
Qualifications
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required
  • Associate's degree preferred with one (1) to two (2) years of stewarding supervisory experience required or a combination of education and/or work experience
  • Minimum 2 years of food service management experience preferably working in the kitchen area
  • Knowledge of chemicals and dishwashing equipment
  • Must possess attention to detail
  • Must have high standards of cleanliness
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and other team members

Work Environment:

  • Duties and responsibilities are typically performed in the back of house of the casino, which can be fast-paced with excessive noise. Also, there may be times where you will need to be on the Casino Floor or pass through this area. On the Casino Floor, you may be exposed to casino-related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke and excessive noise.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

First preference in hiring, training, promoting and in all other aspects of employment is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet the job requirements. Second preference is given to members of other federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet the job requirements.
