Cad Drafter/Designer

Our client has an opening for a Cad Drafter/Designer to help with the production of drawings for fire protection and low voltage systems. Projects are typically for manufacturing, warehouses, offices, and industrial locations. The designs will be for fire alarm systems, low voltage systems, and special hazard areas. Responsibilities: Design and develop plans/drawings for installation and commissioning of fire protection systems Learn and apply knowledge of NFPA and Building Codes Know how to read and understand architectural/MEP Drawings Create accurate parts lists for projects Attend Project Kick-Off Meetings to coordinate design, CAD, and pre-fabrication of jobs Meet with clients, consultants, etc. to review project design and implementation Assist with estimating of projects Travel to and from job sites to assist with installation, turn on, and testing of projects Working with Sales and Estimating team to prepare Bid Packages Recommend and implement system enhancements Required 3 plus years of drafting experience Ability to reach and understand architectural/MEP drawings AutoCAD Proficiency Preferred: Associates Degree in Drafting 1 plus year of fire protection system/low voltage drawing production experience AutoCAD Certification Fire Suppression Knowledge BIM 3D Modeling NICET Certification Location: Nashville, TN 6 month temp to hire Pay Range-$23-$27/hr ***Manager very willing to train someone with good AutoCAD skills Please send resume to: wendyc@selectek.com Wendy Colaiacovo 678-802-6616
