Salary $51,686 Grade: GS05 Requisition: 44251 Location: Jacksonport State Park, Newport, AR Closing date: Until Filled This position manages all bookkeeping and administrative support functions in the park and is responsible for auditing invoices, posting, and reconciling cash receipt reports, preparing bank deposits, and compiling information for various reports. Job duties include posting transactions to different financial programs, entering and reviewing budget numbers, issuing purchase orders, completing personnel and payroll documents, and maintaining files, time & leave records. Other duties include supervision, typing, receptionist duties, supply order and inventory, keeping statistics on visitation and facility usage, and vehicle reports. Working with other park staff on gift shop resale orders. Frequent contact with the public and park staff is necessary, so good communication and customer service skills are required. This position assists park interpreters with school group programming, visitor museum tours, processing camping reservations in software systems, handling cash register operations and other duties as assigned. Competent computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office is required. A criminal background check is required. Applications accepted online only: https://arcareers.arkansas.gov/ Position Information Class Code: C039C Grade: GS04 FLSA Status: NON-EXEMPT Salary Range: $32,405.00 - $51,686.00 Summary The Parks Office Manager II is responsible for monitoring park processes including preparation and reporting of budgets, cash receipts and deposits, purchasing, records management, contract management, payroll and personnel administration, guest relations and inventory. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy. Functions Supervises full or part-time employees by planning and assigning job duties, providing training and counseling, and conducting performance reviews. Manages the bi-weekly payroll process for the park by entering time, maintaining time records, and performing time audits. Maintains record-keeping systems on cash receipts and deposits, budget preparation and reports, inventory, contracts, major maintenance, bulk fuel, and office supplies. Prepares and distributes park reports, business and promotional correspondence, budget justification, and customer inquiry responses. Prepares purchase orders and coordinates with the Purchasing Section. Maintains vendor relations, vendor information, and pricing. Creates and maintains files on park operations. May manage a retail facility including ordering, pricing and displaying merchandise and assisting with inventory Performs other duties as assigned. Ability to communicate with a diverse group of employees and customers. Ability to prepare, analyze, and interpret financial reports and statements. Ability to comprehend program goals, objectives, and operations in correlation with budget and program analyses. Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with others.
