Mechanical Designer

Description Job Summary: The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for mechanical design. The Mechanical Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing and developing designs for mechanical systems, complex assemblies and products, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and functionality. Key Responsibilities: • Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, dies, and tools using CAD software. • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other professionals to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and meet all relevant regulations and standards. • Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, and related data to assess factors affecting component designs. • Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or reduce production problems. • Calculate mathematical formulas to develop detailed specifications for components or machinery. • Position instructions and comments onto drawings. • Design scale or full-size blueprints of specialty items such as furniture and window components. • Check dimensions of materials to be used and assign numbers to the materials. • Lay out and draw schematic, orthographic, or angle views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems, and machines. Additional Skills & Qualifications Qualifications: • Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Drafting and Design, or a related field. • Proficiency in SolidWorks • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a mechanical design role. • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $40.87 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
