Summer 2025 Intern - Human Resources

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for assisting the HR department with administrative and HR-related tasks. The HR intern's responsibilities may include the following: updating employee records, streamlining processes, preparing presentations, reviewing exit interview data and developing recommendations, preparing pre-payroll tasks, filing HR documents, electronic scrub, scanning, policy writing and project work. This person will report to Human Resources and will receive directions from an HR Business Partner while supporting the area. This role is an excellent opportunity to create a foundation for any professional career.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Willingness to learn new skills and apply knowledge learned in the classroom to on-the-job experiences and any task assigned during the program.
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills and professionalism to represent the Bank in a positive way in dealing with clients and internal team members and associates.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exhibit a high degree of integrity.
  • Work full-time on-site at 40 hours/week.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Enrollment in an accredited university working towards a Bachelor's or Master's Degree related to the internship (required)
  • Excellent working knowledge of Windows including PowerPoint, Word and Excel. Canva experience is helpful.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills and professionalism to represent the Bank in a positive way in dealing with clients and other team members.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exhibit a high degree of integrity.
WORK CONDITIONS
  • This position must be able to sit for long periods of time as the position involves most of the time spent at a computer.
  • This position requires little to no travel.
