Training Coordinator Job Details Level Experienced Job Location Bronx - Bronx, NY Position Type Full Time Education Level 4 Year Degree Salary Range $25.00 - $30.00 Hourly Travel Percentage Road Warrior Job Category Training Description SUMMARY Under general Supervision, the Training coordinator is responsible for design, delivery and continuous improvement of training programs; conduct needs assessment, executes training, develops reinforcement and evaluates Day-to-day responsibilities include but are not limited to: Develop curriculum and design training courses Administer training with the ability to deliver, project and motivate trainees through effective training methodologies both in group and individual training dynamics Conduct needs assessment and identify training gaps, implementing training best practices to ensure alignment with programmatic and regulatory compliance Collaborate with staff subject matter experts to create discipline specific course content Evaluate success of training implementation by assessing achievement of learning objectives and transfer of knowledge to continuously improve training and identify future learning needs Utilize a variety of techniques, concepts and development and delivery of training Manage the learning experience consistent with agency person centered thinking philosophy Maintain annual training calendar Ensure new hire orientation set up Track annual training requirements of all employees Qualifications Education Requirements: · Bachelor’s degree require or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience · Minimum or 2 years in instructional design, curriculum development and training delivery or any equivalent combination of education Required Skills: · Knowledge of adult learning techniques · Standard and creative writing skills · Engagement and public speaking skills · Ability to organize and manage time effectively · Active listening and critical thinking skills · Effective judgement and decision making · Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills · Technologically intermediate/advanced skills in MS products – Word/PowerPoint/Excel · Versed in person centered practices and thinking SHIFT AVAILABILITY:Full-Time Available Work Location:Bronx and ability to travel to various locations Qualifications Responsibilities Design and develop training curriculum, materials, activities, and multimedia visuals Deliver engaging virtual and in-person training sessions for various topics and audiences Collaborate with subject matter experts across departments to create customized course content. Maintain and update training calendars and schedule employees for required trainings Track employee training records, compliance, and mandatory training requirements Conduct needs assessments and training gap analyses to identify development opportunities Evaluate training program impact through surveys, assessments, and other feedback metrics Recommend and implement continuous improvements to training programs, tools, and methodologies. Stay current on trends and best practices in corporate training, instructional design, and adult learning principles. Requirements BA in human resources, training & development, instructional design or related field Minimum of 3 years of experience designing, developing, and facilitating corporate or non-profit training programs Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills. Knowledge of adult learning theories, diversity awareness, and instructional design Passion for developing talent, coaching others, and driving organizational growth. Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal and analytical skills Proficient with MS Office suite (intermediate to advance) Valid NYS driver’s license (unrestricted), access to a reliable vehicle, willingness/ability to travel to designated sites as needed (Bronx/Westchester - mileage reimbursement provided). Qualifications Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in the I/DD field Bilingual, fluent in Spanish Not required, but preferred Proficient with Relias or other Learning Management Systems not required, but preferred Experience with CQL and POM’s Training and Interviewing, not required, but preferred Experience delivering Person Centered Trainings, not required, but preferred Red Cross CPR/First Aid Certified Trainer or willing to attain certification. SCIP Certified Trainer or willing to attain certification Physical Demands Travel up to 25%; Must be able and willing to travel to various programs as needed – Bronx and Westchester. Multi-purpose training center setting with exposure to the usual office work environment, machinery, and equipment with normal environmental exposures to dust, dirt, noise, and the like. Location/Schedule Primary Location: 3625 Bainbridge Avenue, Bronx New York Full-time; Non-exempt. Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm; 40 hours per week Regular work hours shall be 40 hours, except when attendance is required at conference/seminars, meetings, staff in service and audits. May include occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekend hours.
