We are looking for a Business Intelligence Engineer to join our team. Working closely with partners from Product, Marketing, Finance, Engineering and Operations, you will develop reporting and insights solutions for the team's data and econometric models. In this role you will have an opportunity to launch new features in our data lake from scratch, add new products to our inventory, influence targeting strategy for our products, implement end to end reporting solutions and support product managers in their day to day testing and business needs. Key job responsibilities Partner with Pharmacy business, tech and data science leadership to define and deliver a world-class data infrastructure supporting Amazon Pharmacy's continued growth and our mission to be Earth's Best Pharmacy. Architect scalable and resilient data solutions for real time and batch processing. Build self-service business intelligence infrastructure for Amazon Pharmacy analytics users Work with software, data engineering, and BI teams to invent, design and build data solutions that are stable and performant. Help your team evolve by actively participating in the code review process, design discussions, team planning, and ticket/metric reviews Make recommendations for new metrics, techniques, and strategies to improve campaign targeting and measurement. Improve Amazon Pharmacy's capabilities/products and help business owners uncover hidden opportunities using data, analytics and machine learning. Provide ad-hoc and automated access to large data sets. Understand business and product strategies, goals and objectives. Set the analytics roadmap to drive the goals of the business. Own the analytics for one or more product areas, lead planning, execution and delivery of projects for that area(s), manage stakeholders and internal customer/client needs/requests About the team We accelerate business insights and data-driven innovation by providing trustworthy, intuitive, on-time and cost-efficient analytics and data engineering solutions. To accomplish our vision: We provide data warehousing solutions for the undifferentiated heavy lifting that Amazon Pharmacy teams must engage in to work with data. We identify and capitalize on opportunities for privacy and security improvements, cost reduction, and greater organizational efficiency we continuously look ahead to identify common patterns in analytics and ‘pave the road’ for Amazon Pharmacy teams to quickly and easily solve business objectives and derive insights from data using native AWS solutions wherever possible and finally We surface key performance indicators for product and process improvements spanning across various pharmacy departments. Basic Qualifications 2+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g. t-test, Chi-squared) Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R) Bachelor's degree Preferred Qualifications Master's degree, or Advanced technical degree Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design Experience with statistical analysis, co-relation analysis Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $74,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $165,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
