Awesome opportunity for an Energetic Dental Assistant in a growing pediatric dental practice! We are seeking a mature, intelligent, motivated, professional team member to assist our team. We are a very busy pediatric dental practice that provides care to many children from all parts of the state. We provide traditional dental care in the office but we also provide care in a surgical atmosphere. Partial list of duties to include but not limited to: prepare patient's and rooms for treatment, assist doctor in office and OR setting, take digital x-rays, charting, take impressions for space maintainers, and have the ability to manage the daily schedule. We establish a relationship with our patients and their families based on professionalism, excellence, teamwork, and kindness, and work hard to make sure that our level of care is deserving of our patient's respect and confidence.

1-2 years + experience preferred but willing to train the right person. Eaglesoft experience a plus. Computer literate (ability to type required), and possess a calm chair-side manner.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 - 40 per week

Schedule:
  • 10-hour shift
  • 8-hour shift
  • Monday to Friday


Responsibilities

• Work with dentists and dental hygienists during examinations and procedures by assisting with dental instruments and assure the patients' mouths are comfortable, dry, and accessible to the dentist
• Write down treatment information after every visit and ensure patient records include current dental histories
• Get the patient area ready for any examinations or procedures by preparing equipment like x-ray machines, anesthetics, and impression materials and sanitizing and laying out dental instruments
• Walk patients through a good oral health care regime so they can maintain a healthy smile
• Inform patients about proper oral health care to prevent infections after dental procedures

Qualifications

• Coronal polished certified preferred
• Experience taking x-rays preferred
• Have the ability to give patients exceptional care and service
• Able to perform basic computer and data entry tasks
• Superb multitasking, interpersonal, and communication skills
