Travel is required to recruit students to increase enrollment for Fogelman College of Business and Economics (FCBE). Job Summary: The FCBE College Recruiter is primarily responsible for covering the major aspects of recruitment, admissions, and enrollment of new students to FCBE at the University of Memphis. The FCBE College Recruiter represents the college and university to prospective students and counselors when they visit FCBE and U of M, write or call the office, and when they require special programs or individual counseling. The FCBE College Recruiter implements recruiting strategies throughout Tennessee, the Mid-South and the surrounding areas, which necessitates extensive travel. The overall purpose of the FCBE College Recruiter is to take an active role in ensuring prospective students have been personally, effectively, and knowledgeably served, while working for the highest yield of enrolled students from the admitted group. Must be based in or near Memphis. It requires evening and weekend work and extensive travel. This position requires the ability to independently market and promote the college by traveling extensively to local, regional, and national recruiting events, and occasionally to international events and venues. Work involves but is not limited to, local and domestic travel, counseling and guidance of applicants for admissions, and rendering of directional services to high school and colleges in the Mid-South region and surrounding states.
