Title: Human Resources Generalist
Location: Southeastern Region (Hybrid, 4 Days Onsite per Week)
Description:
The Human Resources Generalist will manage daily HR operations, including recruitment, employee onboarding, payroll processing, benefits administration, and compliance. This role involves collaborating with managers to support talent acquisition, policy enforcement, and employee engagement. The HR Generalist will play a key role in ensuring a positive and productive workplace environment while maintaining compliance with employment laws and company policies.
Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Onboarding:
Collaborate with managers to understand skills and competencies needed for open positions.
Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding qualified candidates.
Conduct new hire orientation and manage employee exit interviews.
HR Operations:
Manage payroll processing with oversight from the HR Business Partner (HRBP).
Administer HR programs, including compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary actions, and training.
Handle employment-related inquiries and refer complex matters to appropriate staff.
Compliance and Policy Management:
Track and document compliance with mandatory training, licensure, and certifications.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Review and recommend updates to HR policies to align with best practices and regulations.
Employee Relations:
Support disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Foster employee engagement and morale through recognition programs and effective communication.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay informed of trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in HR and employment law.
Propose and implement improvements to HR processes and talent management initiatives.
Required Skills:
Working knowledge of payroll and benefits administration.
Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management skills.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
Ability to act with professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
In-depth understanding of employment-related laws and regulations.
Desired Skills:
HR certification is a plus.
Familiarity with talent management and training best practices.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
3+ years of experience in human resources or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
