Lead Porter/Janitor

Pay: $26.79/hr + Benefits
6+ month W2 contract
Shift Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM 

Key Responsibilities: 
- Empty all waste receptacles and replace liners. 
- Wipe down uncluttered surfaces, including desks and tables. 
- Sweep and mop uncarpeted floors. 
- Vacuum carpeted areas. 
- Remove finger marks and smudges from entrance doors, light switches, and reception glass. 
- Collect and dispose of trash in designated dumpsters. 
- Clean and disinfect basins, bowls, urinals, and toilets. 
- Disinfect countertops in lavatory and locker room areas. 
- Polish and clean mirrors. 
- Fill dispensers as needed and ensure restrooms are stocked (toilet paper, paper towels, etc.). 
- Perform rotational cleaning of refrigerators (inside) once per month. 
- Dust office furniture, copiers, file cabinets, windowsills, vents, and partitions as needed. 
- Maintain stairs, bathroom partitions, and tile walls as necessary. 
- Assist with carpet cleaning and floor striping/waxing. 
- Flexibility to adapt daily duties to accommodate cleaning requests after events or meetings.
 
Top 3 Must-Have Skills: 
1. Previous experience as a head custodian/janitor in a large-scale environment (e.g., college, corporation, refinery/plant). 
2. Strong cleaning aptitude with excellent communication skills. 
3. Detail-oriented and able to take ownership of responsibilities with minimal supervision.
 
Personal Protective Equipment: PPE will be provided by EDO, as per OSHA regulations.
 
Site-Specific Training Required: 
- Online site-specific training 
- TWIC card (required) 
- Worker Ready Assessment (no fee, conducted on-site by our Safety Specialist) 
 
Position Transition: 
This position is not likely to convert to a full-time role.
 
Interview Process: 
In-person interview required.
 
Additional Requirements: 
- Proficient in operating janitorial cleaning equipment (e.g., floor buffer, mops, brooms). 
- Knowledgeable in mopping, stripping, and waxing floors. 
- Understand safety requirements related to cleaning. 
- Reliable transportation is a must. 
- Possess a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to take direction.
