We have an opening for an experienced Accounting Manager to lead, plan, organize, and measure all activities of the site, including accounts payables, accounts receivable, general ledger, cost accounting, financial reporting and support of budget and forecasting activities.
This role reports directly to our site Controller and will be responsible for the following essential job functions:
* Assists in the development and management of accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements and controls are in place and followed.
* Leads, assigns, and manages the activities of the accounting department to ensure performance expectations and department objectives are met timely and with the highest level of quality and accuracy.
* Oversees the daily accounting activities required to accurately maintain the company's general ledger, including directing the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
* Prepares, analyzes, and distributes the monthly and annual reporting package, including profit & loss statements, balance sheet statements, cash flow statements, financial metrics, gross margin analysis, variance reporting, and other applicable financial reports.
* Prepares, analyzes, and distributes department level financial performance. Collaborates with management to evaluate budget variances and provides recommendations for controlling costs.
* Oversees and coordinates inventory activities and validation of quarterly book-to-book and annual physical inventory with the customer.
* Coordinates with all applicable departments to obtain the operational and financial data necessary to complete customer quotes and product pricing, including material costs, labor costs, equipment performance and other related data. Analyzes the actual financial performance against the quoted cost/price.
* Prepares, analyzes, and distributes reports on capital projects, fixed asset and depreciation schedules; assists in the preparation of the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, as well as the annual accounting audit.
* Provides ad-hoc reports and analysis that support the financial and operational performance of the company.
* Completes preliminary budgetary information, financial statements, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WIs), and other paperwork according to established company policy.
* Maintains confidentiality of salary and financial information, budgets, forecasts and other sensitive and confidential information.
* Exhibits regular and predictable attendance and works outside of the normal schedule as needed due to workplace demands. Performs other related duties as required.
We are looking for an individual with the following:
* Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field required.
* 10+ years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role
* Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing industry, preferably in a filling and packaging environment.
