POSITION PURPOSE

The Accounting Intern will gain accounting experience through assisting the Accounting Supervisor with the monthly close process and various analyses while ensuring all reporting deadlines are met.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations in accordance with month end closing deadlines
• Assist with monthly inventory counting and analyzing inventory adjustments
• Assist with day-to-day accounting functions
• Assist with special projects as needed

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• 0-2 years of relevant Accounting Experience
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field from an accredited University

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
• Successful in working independently and as part of a team
• General knowledge about accounting principles
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Ensures accuracy and high attention to detail
