Job Description
IPS - IRP Medical is seeking a Manufacturing Tech Operator (3rd Shift) who will be responsible for the operation of continuous molding machines/presses, vertical or horizontal, Trimming and buffing of clean parts per instructions on process router, drawings and/or specification in order to produce high quality products that meet the requirements and/or specifications.

Job Responsibilities:
- Operate a press to mold rubber or plastic parts to requirements or specifications
- Removes finished or cured products from dies or molds using hand tools, air hoses, and other equipment.
- Ability to trims excess material from parts using knives and hands to meet specifications.
- Monitors machine performance, identifies operating errors, and takes corrective action.
- Ability to trim, buff, or clean parts as instructed by the process router, drawings and/or specifications.
- Repair and/or rework of damaged parts (if applicable) per the instructions of Quality or rework process router.
- Performs Visual In-process inspection of the product and segregates non-conforming parts from production, document defects on process form and ERP System (EPICOR).
- Suggests process and manufacturing improvements to increase efficiency in areas.
- Assist the Production Lead or Supervisor in meeting shift or departmental production goals.
- Adhere to the company’s safety rules and quality standards and procedures.
- Use PPE (personal protective equipment) as required to conform to safety rules and practices
- Maintain good housekeeping discipline in the work area.
- Perform adequate line clearance at the beginning of each production run.
- Conduct regular cleanup at every start and end of shift.
- Complete the required documentation for shift production information in required reports such as Work Orders, Shift Reports, scanning, data entry, product label generation in the ERP Database system.
- Handle product with care to ensure safety and cleanliness during handling to prevent damage or cross-contamination.
- Monitor assigned machine/s to ensure safe operation and escalate any abnormalities to Shift Lead/Supervisor/Manager and/or Maintenance Tech/Manager.
- Ability to inspect product for visual defects and non-conformance via unaided eye or with the use of a Magnifying glass to confirm product quality as necessary.
- Perform other duties or tasks as required
Job Specifications:
Education: HS Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
Years Experience: 1-2 + years experience in manufacturing environment preferred
Skills:
- Ability to read and comprehend written and verbal instructions
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate machines safely
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Cooperation, collaboration, and ability to get along well with others
- Understanding the importance of product conformity
- Manual dexterity and critical eye for details
- Previous machine operations experience is preferred
- Previous Inspection of parts/components preferred
- Ability to use tools to perform production operations in a correct manner with a safety mindset
- Ability to handle moderate lifting, no greater than 50 lbs
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and costs
- Proficiency in using tools like micrometers, calipers, and rulers
- Attention to detail and precision
- Basic computer proficiency
