Summary of Role
The Production Supervisor isresponsible for directing and supervising the efficient operations ofproduction, packaging, and sanitation at the Chaseburg Creamery. This role promotes collaboration and teamworkwithin the production team members and with others in the facility to fostermotivation, increased productivity, and ensure the highest level of customerservice. This is a safety sensitiverole. The Creamery is open 365 days a year including holidays.

Base salary range: $57,824.00 - $73,746.40 peryear
This salary rangeis exclusive of fringe benefits. The compensation package may also includeincentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary bonuses. Ifyou are hired at CROPP, your final base salary compensation will be determinedbased on factors such as skills, education, and/orexperience. Additionally, we believe in the importance of pay equity andconsider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any finaloffer. Please keep in mind that entry-level candidates to this role shouldexpect to be at the lower end of the salary range and hiring at the maximum of the salary rangeis not typical.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Communicates performance expectations by evaluating performance, providing timely feedback, training, and coaching, and recommending personnel actions for assigned staff.
- Ensures compliance with applicable policies, safety policies/procedures/best practices, and fair employment practices.
- Ensure that staff follows good manufacturing, safety, and quality assurance policies and practices.
- Ensure staff members are working in compliance of HACCP program and BRC audit guidelines.
- Coordinates staff schedules to meet production requirements.
- In conjunction with other supervisors, production manager, assistant plant manager, and plant manager; oversee day-to-day operations of the Butter, Intake and HTST teams.
- Ensures production and sanitation records are completed accurately and timely and reviews records on a routine basis.
- Manage and participate as needed with the input of milk, and butter production into SAP, Excel spreadsheets, milk receiving program and SCADA software.
- Review operations with the Plant Manager, Assistant Plant Manager, Production Manager, Senior Quality Assurance Field Manager, and production staff to resolve production and/or sanitation problems.
- Coordinate and initiate procedures for facility upkeep, cleanup, and equipment maintenance.
- Assist with internal GMP audits and/or any BRC/customer audits.
- Delegate and complete corrective and preventative actions.
- Review and approval of time off and timecards for direct staff.
- Create, review, and update work instructions, SOP's and approved forms as needed.
- Work as a team with other supervisors to provide supervision and support of production staff.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with other plant supervisors and staff to continuously improve production and sanitation at the Chaseburg Creamery.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Minimum of three years of production related experience, preferably in the food production or sanitation field in the dairy industry.
- Minimum of one year of experience coordinating, supervising, or training employees in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to frequently lift/carry up to 60 pounds, occasionally lift (up to) 80 pounds with assistance, ability to push/pull up to 2,500 pounds using material handling equipment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to occasionally bend, twist/turn, reach above shoulders, and climb throughout the shift as needed.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and coach a diverse workforce.
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to work with required sanitation chemicals.
- Demonstrated competency and understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Strong oral and written communication and comprehension skills.
- Proven proficiency with inductive and deductive reasoning, problem solving, troubleshooting, and attention to detail.
- Good computer skills required; experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word preferred.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to handle confidentiality in a professional and appropriate manner.
- Ability to multitask and operate under pressure.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, as needed.
- Ability to read and interpret critical information and follow specific instructions.
