The General Manager (GM) is the face of Tatte within our communities and to our guests. The GM is responsible for all facets of front-of-house café operations dedicated to delivering a warm, authentic and inspiring environment for both guests and team members, to thoughtful leadership, and to overall restaurant performance. Our GMs will work side by side with the FOH team and in partnership with Chef and back-of-house team to drive total four walls quality, standards and performance. GMs are passionate about delivering on the smallest details to uphold and grow the Tatte brand. Successful GMs at Tatte are strong people developers, teachers and performance managers, have high personal standards, hold an owner operator mentality, and are warm and genuine. Summary of Responsibilities: Demonstrates complete ownership of the business including total responsibility for the four walls and P&L ownership. Models authentic, warm guest experience and is responsible for instilling great service in team. Ensures the café is optimally staffed with individuals that embody Tatte’s values. Demonstrates keen people performance management skills with the ability to identify talent and develop managers and hourly team members. Displays skill in leading and navigating hard conversations. Continuously upholds Tatte brand and visual standards. Leads team members through effective and efficient operational execution. Ensures Food Safety in the café. Leads all café-level change management activities to ensure effective and accurate communication of new product, service and operational information that is able to be acted upon by the team. Ensures food, labor and controllable costs stay consistently within guardrails set by the company. Oversees all café administrative requirements. Other duties as assigned. Working Conditions / Essential Functions: Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs (including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and as emergencies arise). Able to work ten hour-plus shifts, plus ability to stand, sit, squat or walk for extended periods of time, walk up and down stairs, and read. Able to grasp, reach overhead, push, lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Position Requirements: Minimum 2 years’ experience working as a General Manager, preferably in a high-volume, full service and/or polished fast casual restaurant. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Highly organized with strong attention to detail. High integrity and professionalism. High School education or equivalent. Preferred Skills: Hospitality Education: B.S. in Hospitality Management and/or A.S. Hotel and Restaurant Management. Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook. Previous experience working with UltiPro, Toast - POS System, CrunchTime/TeamworX. ServSafe, Allergen and ChokeSaver Certifications.
