Time off benefits for this position include: Paid vacation time and sick leave 15 paid holidays, including Federal and Jewish holidays, and floating holidays 2 Wellness Days to support employees’ mental wellness Position Overview: JFS is looking for a compassionate, mission-driven individual to join the Advancement Services team as the Associate Director of Development Operations. In this role, you have the opportunity to use your fundraising operations skills and management experience to make a meaningful difference in your community. The Associate Director primarily focuses on team leadership and supervision of gift processing, database management, and development operational support to assist with fundraising efforts effectively. This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Advancement Services and works closely with all members of the Advancement division. Responsibilities: Team Leadership and Development Lead and inspire a team of advancement services professionals. Provide oversight, guidance, and continuous training on database and gift processing procedures. Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to team members. Foster a collaborative team culture that promotes innovation. Database and Gift Management Maintain a robust and accurate Raiser’s Edge donor database. Complete complex data queries, reports, exports, and system upgrades. Collaborate with Marketing staff for online marketing database management. Ensure data security and access to Raiser’s Edge. Provide leadership regarding best practices with data hygiene and integrity. Development Operations Management Coordinate with Finance for timely fundraising reporting and analytics. Support direct mail and e-appeal efforts. Manage event data and on-site registration needs. Oversee daily mail donations process. Maintain timely acknowledgment processes for donor stewardship. Strategic Planning and Support Assist with creation and implementation of analytical financial reports. Synthesize organizational donation data to provide insights. Assist with recommendations for strategic goals and operational plans. Skills/Experience/Abilities That Are a Must-Have: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 5+ years of relevant experience. 7+ years of operational management of fundraising databases. Experience managing high-performing teams in a dynamic environment. Expertise in fundraising operations and data governance policies. Advanced knowledge of gift processing and general accounting practices. Ability to manage external vendors related to department services. Advanced communication and project management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel. Skills/Abilities We’d Like You to Have: Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
