We offer merchants an end-to-end payments solution that provides authorization and settlement capabilities, as well as instant access to funds and payouts. We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade. Job Description Summary: PayPal is committed to building and scaling the next generation of payment integration technologies for merchants, consumers, and developers globally. We are seeking a talented and technically adept Sr. API Product Manager to drive the design, development, and delivery of robust, scalable, and globally adoptable APIs. Your way to impact: As the Sr. API Product Manager, you will focus on enabling developers with high-quality APIs that are intuitive, reliable, and designed for maximum adoption. You will ensure our APIs align with best-in-class standards, incorporating feedback from developers and leveraging analytics to continuously improve performance and usability. Your day-to-day: API strategy and roadmap execution: Define and execute the product roadmap for APIs, prioritizing features and enhancements that meet developer needs and align with business objectives. Collaborate with engineering teams to design and build REST APIs that are intuitive, consistent, and developer-friendly. Ensure APIs adhere to design best practices, including proper documentation, versioning, and error handling. Drive the development of APIs that are highly reliable, secure, and scalable, supporting diverse use cases and regional compliance requirements. Drive scalable adoption in partnership with engineering and commercial teams: Define metrics for API performance, reliability, and adoption. Leverage tools and dashboards to monitor API usage and proactively address issues to maintain high service levels. Create and manage API collections using tools like Postman to improve discovery and enable self-service integration for developers. Build sample use cases and tutorials to enhance the developer experience. Partner with engineering, design, marketing, and support teams to deliver API solutions that align with platform goals and user needs. Scale API solutions using voice of customer: Analyze API usage data, developer feedback, and industry trends to inform priorities, identify areas for improvement, and drive adoption strategies. Act as an advocate for the developer community, ensuring their needs are represented in API design and feature development. Build strong relationships with developers to gather insights and feedback. What you need to bring: 8+ years of product and platform experience. At least 3+ years with a focus on APIs, RESTful services, or integration tools. Proven success in delivering APIs that have been widely adopted and scaled globally. Strong understanding of developer workflows, including integration testing, monitoring, and debugging. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field is helpful in this role. Fluency in English and strong communication skills required. 0 PayPal is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Actual Compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to work location, and relevant skills and experience. The total compensation for this practice may include an annual performance bonus (or other incentive compensation, as applicable), equity, and medical, dental, vision, and other benefits. For the U.S. national annual pay range for this role is $82500 to $187990. For the majority of employees, PayPal's balanced hybrid work model offers 3 days in the office for effective in-person collaboration and 2 days at your choice of either the PayPal office or your home workspace, ensuring that you equally have the benefits and conveniences of both locations.
