Marketing Communications Specialist - Agriculture

McLanahan Corporation is looking for a well-rounded marketer who thrives on unique day-to-day experiences to support our global marketing efforts in the agricultural sector. Every day will be different in this role, as the Marketing Specialist works to implement a wide variety of marketing activities that help achieve the overall objectives outlined within the marketing plan. The role acts as the primary marketing liaison for projects with our agricultural sales teams and works as part of the overall corporate marketing team to maintain a consistent brand image and provide timely, accurate and on-budget delivery of marketing efforts. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with a diverse team of people and thrives on having a wide range of tasks that allow them to come up with new and creative solutions every day.

Essential Functions/Key Accountabilities:

  • Assist with the development and coordination of print and digital advertising materials, including the timely submission of materials, updating of artwork, and budget planning and tracking.
  • Coordinate external trade shows and events, including but not limited to stand organization, equipment shipping, collateral preparation, graphic design, giveaways, booth/event ordering, etc.
  • Develop and coordinate social media calendar and posts in conjunction with corporate marketing team, as well as support the development of emerging channels.
  • Assist in the preparation of marketing content and collateral in conjunction with the corporate marketing team, including but not limited to brochures, presentations, case studies, testimonials, videos, giveaways, etc.
  • Create regular reports on the success of marketing campaigns, including monitoring budgetary spend.
  • Coordinate dealer growth and educational efforts through trainings, schools, and app development.
  • Help plan and support internal events and communications as needed.
  • Responsible for the regular distribution of e-newsletters to customers, representatives, dealers and others to support marketing plan, event promotion and other necessary communications.
  • Assist in lead generation and assignment through corporate CRM.
  • Willingness to work across time zones to support marketing efforts of various offices around the world.
Education/Qualifications/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, ag business or similar field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience, preferably in the ag or dairy sectors.
  • Previous success in developing social media programs and platforms.
  • Experience with CRM systems and marketing automation (SalesForce, HubSpot, Marketo, etc.) platforms a plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications.
  • Ability to work well with others and thrive in a team environment, as well as communicate professionally to all levels and types of positions.
  • Enjoys collaborative work, while still self-motivated and can take initiative to complete tasks with little direction.
  • Proficient in Adobe CC (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, etc.) and/or Canva.
  • Highly competent in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word and Excel).

Physical Requirements:

This position is typically located in an office setting and requires sitting and standing for long periods of time. The position requires ambulatory skills sufficient to travel domestically. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, visual acuity to use a keyboard, and operate standard office equipment. Requires the ability to express or exchange ideas by means of both oral and written communication.
