What you will do:
The Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) responsibilities include guiding patients through crises, diagnosing psychological disorders, highlighting problematic patterns that need to be changed, improving communication, and assisting patients in addressing dysfunctional behaviors. The LMFT will evaluate, diagnose, and treat mental and emotional disorders, health issues, behavioral issues, and a wide range of relationship dynamics within the context of couples, marriage, and family systems.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Utilize solution-focused therapy strategies to provide mental health services to families, couples, individuals, and children
- Facilitate family group therapy sessions.
- Perform intake and needs assessments for individuals, significant others, and family members through testing, interviews, observations, and conversation sessions
- Participate in the development, implementation, and assessment of therapeutic treatment programs for each patient
- Document patient records accurately and thoroughly in accordance with CHDC and licensing standards
- Participate in clinical team meetings on a weekly basis, and engage with community organizations
Qualifications, Education, and Knowledge
- Must have a master's degree in counseling, social work, or related field.
- Current and unrestricted state license as an LMFT (licensed marriage and family therapist).
- A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a clinical setting working as a marriage and family therapist.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) are required.
- Attendance required at assigned CHDC site(s)
