Heavy Equipment Operator

Job Duties Include:

• Operate heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage.
• experience in digging foundations
• Operate all heavy equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant policies and procedures
• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks
• Clean heavy equipment as scheduled and/or required
• Ensure heavy equipment is safely and securely stored
• Advise the Foreman of any requirements for maintenance or repairs
• Participate in routine maintenance
• Practice workplace safety

Job Requirements:

• Experience is preferred, operating heavy equipment (including mini-excavator and backhoe)
• experience in digging foundations
• Able to pass a drug test
• Must be able to move materials and equipment weighing up to 50+ pounds
• Repetitive use of hands for simple grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation required
• Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, squatting, ladder and stair climbing and occasional crawling and twisting are a must to perform the basic functions of the job
• Follow instructions as directed by the foreman/superintendent.
• Must be able to follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment
